About the position

The Senior HR Generalist incumbent will support all activities for all employees at the Palatka manufacturing site, serving as a resource to both employees and management in an effort to support the achievement of World Class Manufacturing business goals. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day Human Resources functions including, but not limited to: employee relations, recruiting and selection, HR Compliance, on-boarding, recordkeeping, training and development, compensation, administration of total rewards, benefits, generating required reports, employee discipline, affirmative action planning, and performance management. In addition, the person will deliver on human resources projects in support of ongoing business culture changes. The role requires a proactive approach to HR management, ensuring that all HR practices align with the company's strategic objectives and contribute to a positive workplace culture. The Senior HR Generalist will also be involved in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and best practices in the industry. This position is critical in fostering a collaborative environment where employees feel valued and supported, ultimately driving the success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support all HR activities for employees at the Palatka manufacturing site.
  • Manage day-to-day Human Resources functions including employee relations, recruiting, and selection.
  • Ensure HR compliance and manage on-boarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping and manage training and development initiatives.
  • Oversee compensation and administration of total rewards and benefits.
  • Generate required HR reports and manage employee discipline processes.
  • Develop and implement affirmative action planning and performance management strategies.
  • Deliver on human resources projects to support ongoing business culture changes.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Human Resources, Management, Business or a related field required.
  • MS/Masters MBA or related preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with HRIS/Applicant Tracking/Time & Attendance databases required.
  • Practiced knowledge of HR processes and policies, external best practices, and legal compliance required.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations required.
  • SHRM-CP preferred.
