About the position

The Sr. Human Resources Specialist at PACCAR Inc. serves as a key HR business partner, providing comprehensive HR support to PACCAR Leasing management and various corporate client groups. This role focuses on enhancing employee relations, supporting recruitment efforts, managing leave programs, and facilitating training initiatives, all while aligning with the strategic priorities of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR business partner for PACCAR Leasing Company Store locations in the U.S. and Canada
  • Provide general HR support to onsite PACCAR Leasing division and several corporate groups
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on projects and initiatives that support the strategic priorities of the organization
  • Partner with recruitment team for staffing related activities, particularly in the technician field
  • Partner with managers on corrective action, salary administration, attendance management, recognition programs, performance management, promotions, onboarding/exit programs
  • Perform investigations to handle operational/employee relations issues
  • Provide coaching and counseling to employees and managers
  • Manage PACCAR Leasing and Corporate client group's Leave of Absence Programs including FMLA, STD, PFML and Worker's Compensation
  • Support annual performance appraisal and succession planning process
  • Collaborate with HR teammates on PACCAR-wide training and organizational development initiatives
  • Support positive employee relations and engagement through safety and wellness programs, compensation reviews, and benefits communications
  • Lead the Mentorship Program by facilitating information sessions, pairing mentees/mentors, and organizing networking events
  • Support the development and implementation of programs aligned with the business strategy
  • Oversee safety and compliance DOT program for Company Store covered employees
  • Work with Risk Management on annual MVR program
  • Lead Company Store Perfect Attendance Program

Requirements

  • Four year degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is required
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action Plans, Safety and Worker's Compensation
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and proactively meet deadlines
  • Professional with excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to visit PACCAR Leasing locations in the U.S. and Canada
