About the position

The Sr. Hybrid Infrastructure Consultant at Burwood Group is a non-exempt/hourly role focused on providing on-site support for clients, ensuring the seamless implementation and configuration of network infrastructure. This position requires strong project leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively support on-site teams. The consultant will lead complex technical projects, manage virtualized server environments, and provide Tier 2/3 support during the HyperCare phase.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical projects, coordinating with both on-site technicians and remote teams.
• Organize and communicate project plans, updates, and issues effectively.
• Function as the central point of contact to communicate updates and progress to key stakeholders.
• Develop plans for migration of on-prem applications to new virtual environments.
• Assist with setup and configuration of on-prem & cloud environments, remote access, and cloud integration services.
• Manage virtualized server hosts and assist with setup and configuration of virtualized servers.
• Perform functional and validation testing of all reconfigured devices.
• Provide Tier 2/3 level help desk support during HyperCare.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading complex technical projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Expertise in configuring and managing network equipment, particularly Cisco Meraki and Azure VNETs.
• Experience managing virtualized server environments, with VMware vSphere experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to unique hardware challenges and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware, Cisco, Aruba) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Migrate, hybrid environments, Windows Server, and Azure Virtual Desktops.
• Experience with Wolters Kluwer and Thomson Reuters software or in an accounting firm environment.
