About the position

The Sr. iOS Developer role at Robert Half is a short-term contract position based in Fort Worth, Texas, focused on creating innovative mobile applications that enhance user experience. The developer will be responsible for all aspects of application development, including design, development, testing, and delivery, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement customer-focused features.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer-centric mobile applications that enhance user experience and support business objectives.
• Contribute to all aspects of application development including design, development, testing, and delivery using Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product owners to bring customer-focused features to life.
• Lead a team while also contributing to the codebase, ensuring efficient and maintainable code.
• Facilitate meetings and effectively communicate with peers, product owners, and designers.
• Ensure that the code you write can scale across teams.
• Monitor and take appropriate action on customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process credit applications efficiently.
• Work onsite for 3 days/week in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
• Use your knowledge of API design best practices, UX guidelines, and common Apple frameworks and APIs to enhance our mobile applications.
• Leverage your experience with common iOS architecture patterns MVC, MVVM, and multi-threading concepts.
• Work with REST-based JSON APIs and write automated tests with XCTest and XCUITest.
• Ensure the applications adhere to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).
• Publish native mobile apps to the store and have a good understanding of Agile methodologies like scrum, kanban, and sizing stories.

Requirements

• Proven experience in iOS development and familiarity with Apple Devices and Mac Computers.
• Expertise in developing applications using Swift or Objective-C.
• Proficiency in using REST APIs for integrating applications.
• Strong knowledge of the iOS framework and its associated libraries.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and ability to work in a dynamic scrum team.
• Experience in UX design and understanding of design patterns.
• Proficiency in coding and debugging.
• Capable of producing high-quality code that follows industry best practices.
• Experience in application development at scale.
• Strong understanding of computer sciences principles.
• Experience with R code is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with production and deployment processes.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Comfortable with onsite work, if required.
• Knowledge of laptop hardware is an advantage.
• Ability to train other team members and stakeholders.
• Understands the importance of quality in delivering software products.
• Experience with API development.
• Knowledge of specifications and documentation.
• Familiarity with mobile app development trends and technologies.
• Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology to ensure our products stay relevant.
