About the position

The Sr. iOS Mobile Developer at PayPal is responsible for leading the iOS engineering team to create innovative mobile applications that drive consumer growth. This role involves designing and developing mobile applications, SDKs, and frameworks, while collaborating with various teams to ensure functionality, performance, and scalability. The developer will also engage in architecture discussions, code reviews, and develop test automation, all within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the iOS engineers in building experiences that drive consumer growth.
• Design and develop mobile applications, mobile SDKs, and frameworks/common libraries.
• Utilize skills in native mobile development to build great mobile applications.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team activities.
• Work with other engineers, architects, product management, QA, and operations teams to develop innovative solutions.
• Understand and meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development principles and product goals.
• Develop functional test automation.
• Develop mobile application prototypes.
• Iterate with the UX team in an Agile environment to bring features from conception to launch.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional related experience (or Master's with 8+ years of experience).
• 6+ years of iOS development experience.
• Knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Experience with animation and implementing user interface designs.
• Knowledge of design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
• Skilled at writing Unit and Automation tests.
• Thorough understanding of XCode.
• Expert understanding of Swift and Objective-C.
• Solid understanding of Cocoa Frameworks.
• Prior experience of building SDKs and distributing to clients is a plus.
