As part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., a decentralized organization with a strong commitment to innovation and automation, this role is pivotal in driving our success across over 200 industrial facilities in North America. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process, operations, and LEAN methodologies, and will be responsible for leading automation projects that enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, IT, and R&D, ensuring seamless integration of automation solutions. In this role, you will be hands-on with equipment, running tests to understand technology capabilities and mitigate project risks. You will analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate the implementation of these enhancements, whether through new hardware or process optimization. Your responsibilities will also include conducting cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects, mentoring junior engineers, and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation. This position requires a flexible work schedule, with an expectation of 3 days in the office when not traveling, and approximately 30-60% travel is anticipated. You will have the chance to work at our mHUB facility in Chicago, TXRX Labs in Houston, or at one of our many business units local to you. If you are a builder who enjoys defining and executing your own solutions, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization.
