About the position

The Sr. Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer will focus on equipment improvement, manufacturing building moves, flow optimization, Lean principles, and process improvement. This role is crucial in leading the deployment of current and new equipment to support business expansion and in enhancing processes within the facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement projects through lean manufacturing and process control.
  • Develop process improvements for fabrication and assembly, providing ongoing technical support.
  • Analyze existing workflows to identify optimization opportunities and cost savings.
  • Ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement visual management tools and performance metrics to track progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize best practices.
  • Conduct studies to improve labor efficiencies and material utilization.
  • Maintain engineering changes, bills of materials, and quality documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate the relocation of manufacturing operations to new facilities.
  • Lead the design and layout of new manufacturing facilities with a focus on sustainability.
  • Conduct post-move evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in metal stamping and fabrication.
  • Ten years of related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow with a proactive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD or Solid Works.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP.
