About the position
CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Manager for industrial water and wastewater projects. This role involves leading project management efforts, providing technical guidance, and assisting with business development across various industrial sectors. The position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days in the office, and offers the opportunity to work from multiple locations across the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Managing and serving as the lead Project Manager on water/wastewater projects
- Providing technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring engineering staff
- Responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring and adherence for projects
- Completing Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables
- Assisting Client Service Leaders with technical marketing for clients
- Participating in professional societies relevant to the industry
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key decision makers in clients' organizations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of related experience
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Nice-to-haves
- Professional engineering (PE) license
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
- Previous experience managing projects for Industrial water/water reuse/wastewater clients
- Previous experience managing multi-discipline project teams
- Excellent communication, networking and team building skills
- Previous experience working directly with clients
- Master's degree
- Previous business development experience including preparation of proposals and scopes of work
