The Senior Instructional Designer of Strategic Selling plays a pivotal role in this mission by building, developing, and evaluating innovative learning solutions that support our evolving customer experience in stores. This position is not just about creating training materials; it is about being an advocate for our field organization and collaborating with cross-functional partners to conceptualize, develop, and deliver effective learning strategies and resources that drive results. In this role, you will work closely with the Strategic Selling Manager to assess, identify, and implement an evolved selling model that enhances the customer experience. You will leverage your collaboration skills to partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), field partners, and stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of the target audience and their content needs. This understanding will enable you to construct learning and performance outcomes that are both relevant and impactful. Your responsibilities will include creating a variety of innovative training resources, such as videos, eLearning modules, instructor-led meetings, and reference materials, all designed to build, retain, and sustain field knowledge and behaviors related to future selling strategies and initiatives. You will also influence and partner with others to ensure that learning solutions are tailored to the needs of specific roles, including District Sales Leaders and store-level leadership and associates. Consistent feedback gathering will be essential to assess gaps and patterns, allowing you to recommend effective solutions that yield results. Additionally, you will apply project management fundamentals to develop detailed and attainable project plans that include tracking, milestones, deliverables, and communication/review cadences. This comprehensive approach ensures that our training initiatives are not only well-structured but also aligned with our strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify, and implement an evolved selling model that enhances the customer experience in partnership with the Strategic Selling Manager.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), field partners, and stakeholders to understand target audience and content needs.
  • Create innovative training resources, including videos, eLearnings, instructor-led meetings, and reference materials.
  • Provide a field-led filter to learning solutions, including role-specific training for District Sales Leaders and store-level associates.
  • Gather feedback to assess gaps and recommend solutions to improve results.
  • Leverage project management fundamentals to build detailed project plans with tracking, milestones, and communication cadences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability in instructional design or creating learning content via different modes of delivery.
  • Retail background, with store selling/operations experience preferred.
  • Proven success in establishing rapport with business partners at multiple levels and working collaboratively on larger teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple complex projects.
  • Ability to identify issues/opportunities and drive alignment and prioritization.
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, probing for understanding, and articulating messages clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Articulate Storyline and Rise, and Adobe Creative Suites.
