About the position

The Sr. Interior Designer at Global Furniture Group will play a crucial role in showroom and trade show design coordination for the US market. This position requires a blend of independent work and teamwork, emphasizing multitasking and prioritization skills. The designer will lead showroom design projects, develop corporate interior design standards, and ensure the brand's visual integrity is maintained while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead showroom design project scheduling and installation.
  • Integrate new products into showrooms and key tradeshows.
  • Develop corporate interior design standards and maintain brand visual integrity.
  • Create interior design drawings using AutoCAD, including furniture block plans, space plans, finish palettes, and installation drawings.
  • Create sketches and drawings for renovation and construction projects, collaborating with architects and contractors.
  • Travel to project sites for construction status and product installations as needed.
  • Coordinate and supervise the installation and dismantle of national tradeshows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years' experience with AutoCAD required.
  • Contract Interior Design knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of 20/20 CAP, Revit, Google SketchUp is a plus.
  • Experience with system furniture is a strong plus.
  • High attention to detail and a keen eye for interior design, textiles, finishes, trends, space planning, and graphics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and flexible style.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of 20/20 CAP, Revit, Google SketchUp.
  • Experience with system furniture.
