This position is responsible for supporting the corporate security function in protecting both company assets and employee safety, conducting complex investigations and identifying risks to Comcast's brand, assets and business processes across multiple business channels that could include theft, forgery, fraud, retail business sales misconduct, other personal misconduct, and policy violations, as well as criminal violations. Promotes customer and employee safety by conducting physical security risk and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and works to mitigate security risks. Responsible for conducting physical security assessments to identify gaps and opportunities to improve security as well as addressing requirements per Comcast policies.

  • Develop investigative strategies using specialized techniques, systems, and tools to gather and evaluate evidence.
  • Work with management to plan, organize, and conduct difficult and complex investigations related to internal and external security issues.
  • Ensure that all investigations/inquiries are objective and brought to a logical and timely conclusion in the best interest of the Company.
  • Liaison with law enforcement, retail coalitions, industry groups and internal business partners.
  • Review and analyze processes to identify security risks and vulnerabilities in order to recommend strategies for prevention, mitigation, and recovery.
  • Collect, document, store, and maintain evidence according to the chain of custody guidelines.
  • Assist in conducting business process reviews and internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable security standards.
  • Support the Planning and Completion of Physical Security Assessments.
  • Communicate and direct effective prevention strategies ensuring appropriate controls are in place at the discretion of management.
  • Be available to respond to critical incidents and present succinct factual updates to leadership.
  • Testify under oath in judicial court and administrative hearings as needed.
  • Collaborate with Company stakeholders including but not limited to Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Environmental Health and Safety, Business Continuity, contracted guard protection force, etc.
  • Prepare and present investigative findings to Comcast leadership at all levels.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with peers in the industry, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, government agencies and emergency services.
  • Provide training for employees on security related topics, to include but not limited to security awareness, robbery and fraud prevention, workplace violence, sales integrity, etc.

  • Analytic ability and drive, critical thinking skills, project management experience, and exposure to tactical and operational security.
  • Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple tasks, pay close attention to detail, be well organized, and work successfully with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including ability to interact with employees, management at all levels, legal and compliance, and law enforcement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of Applications (Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn other computer software systems, such as Comcast's Case Management System.
  • Understanding of business, private, and public sector partnerships.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in contemporary/advanced investigative theory, techniques, or protocols.
  • Must be knowledgeable with laws and statutes impacting methods used in successful investigations and be able to make fact-based decisions based on available evidence.
  • Excellent judgement with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Certification from an interviewing and interrogation program such as Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, John E. Reid & Associates, or LSI Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation, Inc. (SCAN).
  • Certification or accreditation from a Risk or Security Management Association or governing body is a plus.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) desired.
  • Multi-lingual abilities and experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of video camera systems, intrusion detection systems (IDS), access control systems, and digital video recorders (DVR).
  • Familiarization with Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles.
