About the position

As an Agile Program Manager at TEKsystems, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way we work, learn, and innovate within our large enterprise client environment. Your deep understanding of agile principles and modern software product development processes will be essential in continuously evolving our product development methodologies to reduce waste and enhance efficiency. You will be responsible for building strong communities and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the organization. In this role, you will actively manage and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues, ensuring that they are addressed promptly and effectively within the day-to-day operations. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the flow of work across multiple agile teams, taking accountability for the efficient management of large and complex product launches. You will leverage data and metrics to derive insights that will help identify improvement opportunities, driving these initiatives to fruition. As the champion of Agile Software Product development processes within a Value Stream, you will ensure that agile methodologies are adhered to by all teams during product development cycles. In addition, you will lead major software development planning events across multiple teams, managing dependencies and risks associated with the development plan. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet stakeholder expectations. By fostering inter-team collaboration and promoting a culture of continuous learning, you will help build a strong community that thrives on innovation and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage flow of work across multiple agile teams and take accountability to efficiently manage large and complex product launches across multiple teams.
  • Leverage data and metrics to derive insights and continuously identify improvement opportunities, driving these improvement opportunities to fruition.
  • Be the champion of Agile Software Product development processes within a Value Stream and ensure agile processes are adhered to by teams during product development cycles.
  • Lead the charge on building community, fostering inter-team collaboration and the culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement across the entire Value Stream.
  • Lead major software development planning events across multiple teams, manage dependencies and risks to the development plan, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of agile principles and modern software product development processes.
  • Experience in managing large and complex product launches across multiple teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to leverage data and metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to champion Agile Software Product development processes within a Value Stream.
  • Excellent leadership skills to foster inter-team collaboration and a culture of continuous learning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
  • Familiarity with banking or financial services industry.
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP).
