About the position

As a Senior IT Analyst specializing in Coupa, you will play a crucial role in the Source to Pay process, reporting directly to the Director of IT Architecture. Your responsibilities will encompass both technical and functional aspects of the Coupa platform, where you will consult, configure, and develop necessary functionalities to support Ciena's supply chain functions. This position requires a strong ability to build business relationships, gather and clarify business requirements, and translate them into actionable design documents. You will work closely with a team of internal and external developers to ensure the growth and sustainability of the platform. In this role, you will be responsible for high and low-level design, development, testing, and implementation of application solutions within the procurement applications, specifically focusing on Coupa. You will assist in the design and configuration of the Coupa Source to Pay platform to meet client needs, including workflow setup, customizations, and integration with existing systems. Your technical guidance will be essential for both internal and external developers, ensuring that the overall solution approach is sound and validated during the solution fit-gap analysis. You will also work directly with business teams to identify needs and requirements, scope work efforts, and implement solutions that support business process changes. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal customers and peers will be vital for effective implementations. You will ensure that new functionalities and configurations are properly set up and migrated to production, adhering to established release management processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing innovative business solutions and suggesting improvements within internal IT processes.

Responsibilities

  • Consult, configure, and develop functionalities within the Coupa Source to Pay platform.
  • Coordinate with internal and external developers to support supply chain functions.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of Coupa's Source to Pay platform to meet client needs.
  • Design, configure, and develop application changes, integrations, and reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and business functional consultation to developers.
  • Work with business teams to identify needs and requirements and implement solutions.
  • Build and maintain internal customer and peer relationships for effective implementations.
  • Ensure new functionalities and configurations are migrated to production following release management processes.
  • Develop and implement innovative business solutions and suggest improvements in IT processes.
  • Support the implementation and deployment of Coupa's solutions, including user training and ongoing support.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in COUPA Source to Pay platform with hands-on experience in Risk and performance management modules.
  • Knowledge in integrated COUPA Source to Pay modules such as Sourcing, Sourcing Optimization, and Platform & integration configuration.
  • Experience in driving at least 2 COUPA implementations end to end.
  • Experience in configuration of custom workflows, templates, and events.
  • Proven skill set with Supplier life cycle management modules.
  • Functional and technical experience in Procure to Pay & Supplier Onboarding processes.
  • Demonstrated competency in SQL query design and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of contract management around sourcing and purchasing.
  • Experience working on cross-functional, multi-discipline complex projects for a global company.
  • Ability to identify functional/technical issues and take ownership to resolve them.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated competency in SQL query design and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP is a plus.
  • Integration design and development experience around applications using APIs and Open Interfaces.
  • Ability to work and drive small to medium size project assignments.
