About the position

The Sr IT Automation QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring quality within the IT department, particularly in the Clinical or Healthcare domain. This role involves supporting audits, reviewing computer systems and processes for compliance with regulations, and driving automation testing efforts to enhance application quality and reduce defect rates. The position requires collaboration with various teams to understand project objectives and develop effective testing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with product management, project management, and development teams to understand project and testing objectives for validated systems.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with different teams to identify and resolve root causes.
  • Drive efforts to reduce test cycle time, minimize defect rates, and maximize application quality.
  • Participate in daily scrums, Agile planning, and sprints.
  • Design and create test conditions, test data, and test scripts for business and technical use cases.
  • Develop and lead the automation strategy and generate scripts for automated testing cycles using Selenium and/or Functionize.
  • Design, execute, and analyze automation test scripts or test results for web and cloud-based applications.
  • Document, track, and escalate issues using JIRA.
  • Support IT audit responses and collaborate with IT Quality Assurance Consultants and Corporate QA.
  • Assist in preparations for audits, including documentation assembly and review.
  • Coordinate interviews with IT Subject Matter Experts for audits.
  • Compile and distribute IT departmental audit findings reports and ensure timely closure of CAPAs and QIs.
  • Review IT Change Management tickets for proper completion and closure.
  • Assist in drafting and revising IT departmental SOPs and manage SOP documents for compliance.
  • Coordinate training on departmental SOPs and ensure training records are current.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of work experience as a QA Automation Engineer or relevant position in the IT department.
  • Experience with testing CRM, Data Lake/Data warehouse, integration, and reporting components.
  • Expertise in automation testing tools like Selenium and/or Functionize.
  • Strong SQL querying skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with developers for testing and defect resolution.
  • BS/BA degree in Information Technology or Computer Science required, or equivalent education plus moderate experience.
  • Technical writing and information systems quality compliance experience required.
  • Knowledge of Computer Systems Validation Life Cycle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QA open-source automation test tools.
  • ISTQB AL Test Automation Engineer certification desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
