About the position

The Sr. IT Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and configuring secure and scalable cloud platform patterns primarily on Azure, with additional experience in AWS being a plus. This role requires hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure, as well as expertise in scripting, networking, and infrastructure as code tools. The position is hybrid, requiring one day a week in the office, and is contract to hire, specifically for candidates located in Dallas, Austin, or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure secure and scalable cloud platform patterns on Azure.
• Implement and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and topologies.
• Utilize scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python for automation.
• Manage networking aspects including routing, protocols, and load balancers.
• Employ infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible for deployment.
• Architect and implement microservices and containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Utilize CI/CD tools for continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Create detailed reference architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Analyze and monitor cloud applications for performance and availability.
• Collaborate with teams to address complex technical issues and provide customer service.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in designing and configuring cloud platforms on Azure.
• 1-2 years of experience with AWS is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and topologies.
• Proficiency in scripting technologies (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Networking experience including routing, protocols, and DNS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Strong documentation skills for creating architecture diagrams.
• Proven experience in architecting high availability cloud applications.
