About the position

The Sr IT Data Analyst position at Houston Methodist is responsible for the analysis, documentation, configuration, maintenance, testing, and support of business intelligence and analytics applications. This role involves leading multiple projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and providing training and education on business intelligence applications. The analyst will utilize advanced expertise in Business Intelligence to support and enhance the organization's BI applications, ensuring accurate and timely data for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business intelligence and analytics applications.
• Lead multiple projects and coordinate activities of junior analysts.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to understand complex business needs.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and user presentations using BI tools.
• Provide user education and training on business intelligence applications.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of data collected for decision making.
• Manage and resolve major system outages and change control processes.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about project status and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Administration, or related discipline.
• Six years of experience as a business analyst on Business Intelligence projects.
• Strong project management skills and experience with analytics tools and technologies.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Expert understanding of BI and data warehousing concepts.
