About the position

The Sr IT Manager is responsible for implementing and administering IT policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, support, security, and backup. This role includes managing the deployment of hardware and software for new hires, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing the administration of various SaaS tools. The Sr IT Manager will also focus on process improvement, vendor management, and ensuring the performance of IT infrastructure to maintain uninterrupted business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and administer IT policy and procedure-related network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
  • Manage hardware and software deployment for new hire onboarding and off-boarding process.
  • On-premise/remote troubleshooting of company hardware (laptops/printers/tablets/cellphones) and employee home network/connectivity issues.
  • Administration of Google Workspace and other SaaS tools as necessary (Confluence, Jira, Salesforce, LastPass, etc).
  • Manage VPN Access.
  • Document, refine, and optimize IT processes, including incident management, escalation protocols, service-level agreements, and IT best practices.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and assist with negotiating contracts with various vendors.
  • Conduct project management for various IT projects as needed.
  • Manage third-party partners and vendors.
  • Track and confirm vendor billing for IT spending (licensing, physical inventory, etc).
  • Perform asset management (hardware and software).
  • Monitor and audit IT Infrastructure system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT management and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of network hardware and software acquisition and support.
  • Experience with Google Workspace and other SaaS tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues effectively.
  • Project management skills and experience managing IT projects.
  • Strong vendor management skills and experience negotiating contracts.
  • Knowledge of IT best practices and process improvement methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI tools for job description enhancement.
