About the position

The Sr IT Product Analyst at Trane Technologies will collaborate with business Product Owners to design and implement technical tools that support business capabilities. This role involves creating a technical roadmap, managing the development delivery process, and ensuring the stability and support of critical applications. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical and functional expertise, enabling them to understand business needs and develop effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain an in-depth working knowledge of all applications and processes within the associated product portfolio.
  • Work with the Product Owner to establish product roadmaps and take ownership of technical debt aspects.
  • Translate business processes and requirements into technical requirements to improve efficiencies and customer experience.
  • Refine the prioritized backlog into user stories for execution in future sprints.
  • Collaborate with Platform and Architecture Teams to validate technical design and estimate development work.
  • Attend all ceremonies and provide technical and functional input to the development, testing, and deployment process.
  • Ensure timely, efficient, and quality delivery of incremental functionality.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation related to the product and its interfaces.
  • Manage maintenance activities associated with applications and interfaces, including disaster recovery and security updates.
  • Oversee root cause analysis for incidents and execute problem management processes for recurring issues.
  • Coordinate regression testing for projects impacting the application.
  • Partner with the DevOps team to ensure application health and performance.
  • Manage test instances and refresh schedules for SBU-owned applications.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish licensing and support resources needed from third-party vendors in collaboration with Procurement and Legal teams.
  • Stay current on technology solutions and best practices relevant to the product portfolio.
  • Report monthly to business and IT leaders on KPIs related to support SLAs and project updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, CS, MIS or related technical field.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in an IT role.
  • Knowledge of Agile methods, roles, and principles.
  • Experience with product development, with functional experience required and technical development experience as a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to function effectively in both independent and team-based situations.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management.
  • High energy and aptitude for learning complex modern technologies.
  • Ability to cope with stress and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with good interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, Oracle, and Web Methods.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and security protocols.
