About the position

NTT Data's client is currently seeking a Sr IT Project Manager - Application Integration to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This position is remote and offers the opportunity to work with a global Healthcare devices and Life Science client. The Sr IT Project Manager will be responsible for the initiation and management of IT projects focused on the implementation of ERP systems in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will leverage effective project management practices while collaborating with various divisions and cross-functional teams globally, ensuring cost-effective implementations that exceed stakeholder expectations. In this role, the Sr IT Project Manager will define the application project charter, assess project scope, determine implementation approaches, and manage schedules, budgets, and resource needs while working with global stakeholders. The candidate will actively collaborate with stakeholders in a consultative role to elicit business and technical requirements, helping to prioritize implementations that align with IT strategies. The role requires alignment with business and IT priorities by effectively utilizing waterfall, iterative, and Agile methodologies, while also coaching and mentoring team members. The Sr IT Project Manager will manage multiple projects in parallel, ensuring regular monitoring and reporting while delivering on time and within budget. The candidate will lead teams to resolve program/project issues, effectively communicate, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts while working closely with team members and leadership. Additionally, the role involves building and executing operational and technical project plans, facilitating project gate reviews, and escalating issues to meet project milestones and goals. The candidate will also manage scope and change, identify risks and issues, and prioritize conflicting needs to ensure successful project completion with minimal guidance, often under deadline pressures.

Responsibilities

  • Define application project charter, project scope, assess impact, determine implementation approach, determine schedule, budget, and resource needs working with various global stakeholders.
  • Actively collaborate with stakeholders in a consultative role eliciting business and technical requirements and help prioritize implementation aligning to IT strategies.
  • Align to business and IT priorities by effectively leveraging waterfall, iterative, and Agile methodologies, while coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Effectively utilize the PM Framework, leveraging tools like Planview, JIRA, and other collaboration tools for increased productivity.
  • Manage multiple projects (internal, external, & for multiple divisions) in parallel, with regular monitoring and reporting while delivering on time and within budget.
  • Lead team to resolve all program/project issues and constraints, effectively communicate, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts working closely with team and leadership.
  • Build and execute operational and technical project plans, facilitate all project gate reviews, and effectively escalate issues to meet the project milestones/goals.
  • Actively manage scope and change aligning to business priorities, identify risks and issues, prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously and proactively, follow-through on projects to successful completion with minimal guidance, often with deadline pressures.
  • Provide regular status updates to the Leadership and Management team with constant drive to make improvements to the outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as IT project manager with minimum 3 years' experience in Application Integrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, Information Technology or 10 years' experience in Information Technology projects.
  • Certified in PMP.
  • Planview experience (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as Application Project Manager leading new implementations, feature enhancements, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Has strong experience in PM Framework, following estimation guidelines, resource management, gate reviews, Quality audits, process improvements, provide training and usage of PPM tools & dashboard.
  • Effective conflict management in a fast-paced environment, take higher responsibilities working with cross-functional teams who are working on multiple priorities.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders and team members with variety of personal styles to focus on right priorities under pressure and tight deadlines.
