About the position

The Sr. IT Project Manager will develop, execute, and manage IT projects within defined scopes, ensuring successful completion while coordinating multiple interrelated activities. This role involves working closely with business and IT management to establish project goals, assess changes in scope, and measure performance against plans and budgets. The position also includes supervising a cross-functional project team and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and manage IT projects within defined scope.
  • Expedite, manage, and coordinate interrelated IT project activities.
  • Establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, and deliverables with business and IT management.
  • Assess changes to scope, issues, and risks affecting projects and gain agreement for resolution.
  • Measure project performance against original plans and budgets.
  • Develop and execute work plans, obtaining authorized resources for activities.
  • Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress through timely and accurate project reports.
  • Coordinate resources and effectively assign tasks to team members based on their abilities.
  • Supervise and motivate a cross-functional project team of business analysts, developers, and validation analysts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
  • Make decisions impacting projects or departments and influence project-level budgets and activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma; Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development, or deployment, with a minimum of 3 years managing projects.
  • Client IT project management experience strongly desired.
  • Ability to apply a structured project management approach and methodology.
  • Experience with project management tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Highly developed communication skills for organization-wide communications.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior client experience in IT project management.
  • Experience in training IT Project and Program Managers on standard tools and processes.
