About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager for Master Data Management will lead the design and implementation of data mastering and optimization solutions for a direct client. This role requires extensive experience in project management within technology and software development, focusing on data integration and enterprise solutions. The position is remote and involves managing complex, cross-functional projects while ensuring high-quality data management practices are followed.

Responsibilities

• Oversees tactical planning and day-to-day management of one or more programs in the IT portfolio.
• Collaborates with IT and business leadership on strategic planning for the program.
• Engages stakeholders on project ideation and assists in the creation of business cases and return on investment assessments.
• Develops a deep understanding of projects within the program and the broader IT portfolio; manages assigned projects with a clear understanding of business and IT context.
• Ensures alignment of proposed projects with the program roadmap and its goals and manages project planning and execution accordingly.
• Drives complex, cross-functional enterprise projects, leading multiple efforts within a specific program simultaneously.
• Leads high performing, cross-functional, often globally distributed teams.
• Provides active project management and ownership for initiatives within the program.
• Performs core project management duties, including guiding the project through formal approval and funding gates; developing a project plan that includes a detailed budget, project timeline, detailed task-driven schedule, project RACI and resource plan, and communication plan; and managing project execution from analysis/design, develop, test & deployment.
• Partners closely with the scrum master and product owner on all activities when leading an Agile project.
• Ensures that program and project status reports and quarterly updates are relevant, transparent, and add value.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a senior project manager in technology or software development settings.
• 10+ years of experience with data optimization and enabling data-focused enterprise solutions.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in master data management and data integration to enterprise systems.
• PMP certification is required.

Nice-to-haves

• PgMP and Scrum Master Certifications are preferred.
