About the position

Citizant is seeking a Senior Information Technology Project Manager to lead large-scale IT projects within the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Organization. This role is critical in managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring that all projects align with organizational goals and comply with necessary standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT project management, particularly within government or regulatory environments, and will be responsible for driving project success through strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. In this position, the Senior IT Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and closure phases of IT projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. The role requires crafting and maintaining detailed project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, stakeholder analyses, and progress reports. The successful candidate will drive the integration of project management best practices and methodologies, such as Agile and PMI, to ensure consistent success in project delivery. The Senior IT Project Manager will engage with senior stakeholders and project sponsors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. They will oversee a multidisciplinary project team, providing direction and support to achieve project milestones and deliverables. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a government or regulatory environment.
  • Proven expertise in IT services, management, and processes, highlighting your ability to navigate and manage projects within specific regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, evidenced by past success in leading multidisciplinary teams toward achieving project objectives within tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Mastery of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and tools, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, identifying risks and obstacles early and developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating teamwork, and ensuring clear and effective project communication.
  • PMP, Agile, or similar certifications are highly regarded, reflecting a commitment to professional development and adherence to industry standards in project management.
  • Experience with modern technology trends and tools, including cloud services, cybersecurity measures, and software development practices, to drive FLETC's modernization and drive forward progress.
