About the position

The Project Manager contractor position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of modifications and enhancements to the Financial Data Warehouse. This role involves planning, budgeting, and documenting all aspects of the project while applying standard project management practices within Agile teams. The Project Manager will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that both business and technical objectives are met, and will communicate effectively with clients and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the project.
• Implement standard project management practices for Agile teams.
• Establish project organization and methodology within Agile (Scrum) frameworks.
• Communicate with clients and IT teams regarding project status and requirements.
• Create project charters, work plans, and other related project artifacts.
• Provide technical support during work hours and on-call as necessary.
• Comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and business processes.
• Develop and present project updates to leadership and oversight entities.

Requirements

• 6 years of Project Management experience for large-scale enterprise implementations.
• 6 years of State of Texas or similar Federal/State Project Management experience.
• 3 years of Agile (Scrum) experience.
• 3 years of Development experience.
• 3 years of Jira experience.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP Certification (1 year preferred).
• Experience with State of Texas Project Delivery Framework (1 year preferred).
• Experience with data warehouse applications and/or database reporting features (1 year preferred).
• Experience with State Procurement and Contracting (1 year preferred).
