A Boar's Head IT Senior Project Manager (SPM) is a senior resource that reports directly to the Senior Director of Applications. The SPM will identify, develop, and deliver technology projects that align with the company's top goals. This role may require providing 7x24x365 production support to existing enterprise applications. The SPM is responsible for managing a team of four to eight Boar's Head employees from various pay grades and bands, as well as overseeing multiple outside vendors, including SaaS providers, consultants, and contractors. The SPM will manage multiple large-scale, concurrent projects and support various business areas while providing executive management briefings and updates to senior leadership across multiple business segments. In addition to project management, the SPM will work closely with the Infrastructure team, security team, and Enterprise Architect to ensure that technology solutions align with current and future infrastructure, security, and architecture. The SPM will also develop business cases that illustrate the value of new technical innovations and applications/tools. This role requires driving idea generation, strategic needs analysis, and evaluating operational efficiencies to map business needs to existing or emerging technologies. The SPM will identify and document business needs, analyze resource requirements, and develop a thorough understanding of business operations to identify opportunities for operational efficiency through automation and effective utilization of software applications. The ideal candidate will lead complex technology projects from planning through implementation and will be comfortable working in various business areas, including Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Distribution Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and HR. The SPM will also facilitate Gap-Fit Analysis, evaluate current and proposed future states, and provide recommendations for achieving desired outcomes while minimizing negative impacts on other systems. Strong communication skills are essential, as the SPM will interact with all levels of the organization, articulate objectives, and produce clear recommendations and specifications.
