The Sr. IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role within the Office of the CTO Program Management team at S&P Global. This team is responsible for guiding and supporting the technology function to deliver multi-year strategic technology initiatives and programs across the Market Intelligence division. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various groups, including software development, IT infrastructure, and business management, to provide structure and transparency to senior leadership. This position is critical in helping to deliver key cross-business line technology initiatives that drive improvements for both the business and its clients. The role involves ownership and management of project streams that encompass a combination of small and medium-sized projects. This includes overseeing projects from inception through planning, execution, and successful delivery. The Sr. IT Project Manager will be responsible for producing structured and scalable project plans, maintaining clear communications, providing regular project reporting, and managing resources effectively. Meeting project deadlines, identifying obstacles, proactively mitigating risks, and resolving issues are essential components of this role. The candidate will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing expertise and input as necessary, and must possess strong client-facing skills to communicate effectively with senior-level global stakeholders. In addition to project management responsibilities, the candidate should have the technical competency to troubleshoot common problems and communicate effectively with the team. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while leading a portfolio of IT projects across various technologies.
