About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the implementation and operation of technology centers. This position is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and delivery of technology programs, ensuring that all projects align with the overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the System and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and program management processes, which are essential for the successful execution of projects. In this role, the Senior IT Project Manager will create the necessary structures and processes to deliver new system and software changes to the market. This includes developing detailed project plans for medium to large-sized projects based on roadmap priorities and business requirements. The candidate will be expected to document project plans using various project management tools such as MS Project and SmartSheet, and create project status reports by gathering information from the project plan, databases, and other related sources. Additionally, the Senior IT Project Manager will identify, document, and communicate any changes to the original project scope for all managed projects. They will also be responsible for identifying and resolving project issues and risks throughout the project lifecycle, developing action and contingency plans as necessary. The role requires continuous evaluation of emerging trends related to IT solutions to incorporate improved features and functionality as technology evolves.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Technology Center implementations and operations.
  • Responsible for technology program planning, scheduling development, and delivery.
  • Create structures and processes necessary to deliver new system and software changes to market.
  • Develop detailed project plans for medium and large sized projects based upon roadmap priorities and business requirements.
  • Document project plans using various PM tools (MS Project, SmartSheet, etc.).
  • Create project status reports using information from the project plan, databases, and other related sources.
  • Identify, document, and communicate any changes to original project scope of any managed project.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and risks throughout the life of the project, developing action and contingency plans as appropriate.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging trends related to IT solutions to incorporate improved features and functionality as technology allows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related area.
  • Understanding of System and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and program management processes.
