The Senior IT Project Manager helps envision solutions and adapts their style to the business style of stakeholders and areas of the business. This individual nurtures positive, professional relationships, acting as a trusted partner and a respectful challenger. The major responsibilities include leading large domain/discipline projects from end to end while ensuring stakeholder alignment, supporting and organizing product strategy across a single domain/discipline, and articulating business needs through in-depth domain knowledge. The Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for project execution, understanding and communicating the context of interdependencies within the domain/discipline, and tracking and measuring project benefits. They are a significant contributor to the Best Practices Team of all IT Project Managers in the organization and are comfortable developing and presenting at the Director leadership level. The role also involves holding team members accountable, guiding other project managers and teams in the domain/discipline to analyze and solve problems, and delivering constructive feedback, training, and coaching to improve the performance of others. The foundation of the incumbent's success includes their attention to detail, listening to the requirements, and taking the business needs of initiatives all the way through to the finish line. They are great at keeping everyone in the loop and are skilled with today's communication technologies, ensuring all are on the same page and helping to clear roadblocks for project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Leads large domain/discipline projects from end to end while ensuring stakeholder alignment.

  • Holds team members accountable, ensuring project team leadership has a clear understanding of goals and timelines.
  • Guides other project managers and teams in domain/discipline to analyze and solve problems.
  • Challenges, engages, and inspires others to commit to the work.
  • Encourages project leadership to celebrate successes and recognize team members.
  • Understands talent capabilities and gaps within projects.
  • Delivers constructive feedback, training, and coaching to improve the performance of others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent in a related field.
  • 10+ years of related professional work experience preferred.
  • Experience managing projects with a budget of $1M-$5M.
  • Agile/lean experience in organizations leveraging lean/agile methodologies.
  • In-depth experience with agile methodologies.
  • PMI-PMP preferred.
  • Project management experience in information technology with a focus on managing medium/large projects.
  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
