About the position

The Sr. IT Project Manager will oversee multiple projects utilizing various methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Kan Ban. This role involves collaborating with product owners and developers to manage project backlogs and ensure effective communication across teams. The position requires establishing project management processes to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while also mentoring other project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Become intimately familiar with legacy applications currently in use
  • Coordinate with Application Development, Data Team, Business and Quality Analyst teams to ensure proper care in development and testing of all products
  • Document projects using Enterprise Work Management tool
  • Review business and functional requirements to compile a full understanding of deliverables
  • Continuously maintain and update project management plans as products evolve
  • Ensure that schedules are met and proactively address issues with management
  • Continuously review project performance, update PPMT tools, and brief management on progress
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to provide an enterprise view of project status
  • Interact with stakeholders to communicate status
  • Mentor other Project Managers

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a similar position
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within a software development organization
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Safe)
  • Ability to create and execute plans with minimal written instructions
  • Ability to liaise with Development, business owners, and internal stakeholders

Nice-to-haves

  • Insurance Industry experience
  • Knowledge of Intelledox Infinity software products
  • Experience with BizTalk, Thunderhead, ImageNow (SmartComm)
  • Familiarity with EDI processing
  • Understanding of Payment Card Industry data security standards (PCI DSS)
  • Knowledge of Personal Health Information security standards (PHI)
  • Experience with insurance industry IT support and security
  • Familiarity with laws, policies, procedures, or governance relevant to cybersecurity
