About the position

Uline, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Sr. IT Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in Waukegan, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive quality assurance testing for our software applications. Your primary duties will include writing and executing test cases and test scripts, as well as updating test plans and test cases in accordance with software requirement specifications and business rules. You will conduct various types of testing, including functional, integration, database, and regression testing, ensuring that our applications meet the highest quality standards. As a Sr. IT Quality Assurance Analyst, you will create and enhance test scripts to accommodate changes in the objects, the graphical user interface (GUI) of the tested applications, and the testing environment. You will be tasked with testing both web and client-server applications, re-testing defects identified during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional, system, and integration testing. Additionally, you will conduct status reporting and update testing progress in Team Foundation Server (TFS). Your role will also involve performing back-end testing using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and validate business rules. You will utilize SQL queries to fetch records from various database tables, including DataStax Studio, Oracle, and Db2. API Testing will be conducted using Postman, and you will be responsible for creating and designing master test strategy documents, master test plans, test schedules, test cases, test procedures, and test scenarios for both software and hardware. Furthermore, you will utilize defect logging tools, including TFS, for effective bug tracking and defect logging.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance testing for software applications.
• Write and execute test cases and test scripts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Six years of progressive quality assurance testing for software applications or related occupation experience.
• At least six years of experience in conducting functional, integration, database, and regression testing.
• At least six years of experience in testing web and client server applications.
• At least six years of experience in conducting status reporting and test updating in TFS.
• At least six years of experience in performing back-end testing using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and validate business rules.
• At least six years of experience in conducting API Testing using Postman.
• At least six years of experience in utilizing defect logging tools including TFS for bug tracking and defect logging.
