About the position

Sentara Health is seeking a highly skilled Epic Healthy Planet certified professional to join our team as a Senior IT Specialty Analyst. This position is fully remote, but candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the specified states. The primary focus of this role is to support Population Health by providing day-to-day support and optimization of software applications, including builds, upgrades, and system enhancements. The Senior IT Specialty Analyst will analyze business and clinical needs, evaluate software releases and new products, and provide recommendations to optimize processes and reduce expenses. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth business and clinical knowledge, as well as application experience. Responsibilities include performing and documenting workflow assessments to determine functional requirements for optimal application utilization, developing system test plans, and conducting testing of software upgrades and patches. The analyst will maintain a record of test progress and results, manage problems, incidents, and change requests, and provide daily on-call support for application-related issues. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and end-users is essential to achieve application integration that meets business and clinical needs. Additionally, the analyst will communicate software issues, requirements, upgrades, and enhancements, oversee smaller projects or components of larger projects, and coordinate implementation or project planning around software application releases. As a Senior Professional, this role requires advanced knowledge typically obtained through higher education and extensive work experience. Responsibilities include managing projects and processes independently with limited supervision, coaching and reviewing the work of junior professionals, and addressing complex problems that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Support Population Health by optimizing software applications including builds, upgrades, and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 7 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Certification or experience in Healthy Planet, EpicCare Link, Compass Rose, HEDIS, and Population Health.
