About the position

The Sr IT Systems Analyst - SAP Financial Accounting position at Intel involves creating and implementing an internal foundry model to enhance Intel's financial operations. The role focuses on building SAP Central Finance technology solutions, collaborating across various business groups, and driving innovation in financial analytics and managerial accounting. The analyst will work closely with integration partners and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of financial solutions and support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Building SAP Central Finance technology solutions that transform Intel's Global Finance functions.
  • Collaborating on master data elements and other data attributes required for financial analytics to support decision making.
  • Integrating Finance solutions with Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes and systems, ensuring all works together seamlessly.
  • Influencing how SAP data parameters should be set-up to enable managerial reporting that supports actuals versus budget analysis.
  • Enabling SAP Profitability Analysis based on the analytics requirements of our Finance partners.
  • Engaging a team of subject matter experts and key users to build understanding of current and to-be processes.
  • Working closely with our integration partner to define the future end to end process and solution.
  • Working with project team and business stakeholders to arrive at key business decisions as it relates to process changes and system configuration.
  • Working with our integration partner and Finance partners to develop the change management strategy, capture change impacts and lead organization changes triggered by the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/BS with 6+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience, or PhD with 2+ years of experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or STEM-related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Lead.

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with high internal drive and ability to work with ambiguous and incomplete information.
  • Solid relationship building and influencing skills; able to mediate opposing viewpoints; work well in a team environment.
  • Solid organizational skills and experience working with decision-makers in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent written, visual, and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Willingness to work in a diverse team environment and with others in cross-geo organizations.
