About the position

The Sr. IT Technician position at Stellar Innovations and Solutions (SIS) is a critical role that supports the Air Force and Department of Defense (DOD) customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to meaningful programs that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the military framework. The technician will be responsible for providing direct management support to various IT projects, ensuring that all systems and networks are functioning optimally to meet the needs of the Air Force and DOD. In this role, the technician will engage in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networks, systems, applications, databases, and related computer software and equipment. This hands-on position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery. The technician will also participate in testing analytical methods, revising and refining documentation used throughout the program, and reviewing existing processing systems to suggest refinements that can reduce operating time and improve current techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with at least three years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related discipline is highly desired, along with a current and active DoD SECRET or higher security clearance and an IAT II certification (such as Security+). U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work involved. Responsibilities

  • Provides direct management support to IT projects utilizing various job categories and skills requirements.
  • Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of networks, systems, applications, databases, and related computer software and equipment.
  • Participates in the testing of analytical methods, revising, and refining the documents used throughout the program.
  • Participates in the review of existing processing systems to suggest refinements, reduce operating time and improve present techniques.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant IT experience, experience will be evaluated for acceptability as specialized experience.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in related discipline is highly desired.
  • MUST possess a current / active DoD SECRET or higher security clearance.
  • MUST possess a current / active IAT II (i.e., Security+) or higher certification.
  • U.S. Citizenship is Mandatory.
