About the position

The Sr. IVR Application Java Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining advanced IVR applications, integrating them with telephony systems and external applications. This position requires expertise in PBX architecture and telecommunication services, along with strong skills in web services integration and SIP VoIP troubleshooting. The developer will collaborate with various teams to ensure the optimal performance of contact center systems, particularly within the Genesys Cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated IVR applications using object-oriented programming languages.
• Work with PBX architecture and telecommunications network services to support call center systems.
• Manage web services and integrate telephony systems with other computer systems using protocols like SOAP, VXML, SQL, XML, and REST.
• Interpret and troubleshoot SIP-based VoIP traffic for seamless integration with SIP telephony systems.
• Develop and manage speech recognition systems and grammars to enhance customer service interactions.
• Provide hands-on support and development in Genesys Cloud, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with IT, Customer Service, and Operations teams to optimize contact center systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IVR development, PBX architecture, and telecommunication network services.
• Proven expertise in Web Services Integration (SOAP, VXML, SQL, XML, REST) within telephony systems.
• Strong background in Software Development using object-oriented programming languages for IVR applications.
• In-depth knowledge of SIP-based VoIP traffic troubleshooting and integration.
• Familiarity with Genesys Cloud platform and associated tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in Genesys Cloud CX Professional, Architect, and Scripting are highly desirable.
• Previous experience with Genesys Engage Certifications.
