The Cash Flow module application is undergoing several changes in keeping with State Street's strategic and client needs. As a result, we are looking for a senior application developer well versed in web application development using Java, SQL, and Payment Initiation concepts. Knowledge of Payment Initiation systems is required, and additional knowledge of APIs to accounting systems is desirable. This position is primarily onsite due to the role requirements, with some flexible work opportunities available. Please note that no visa sponsorship is available for this position. As the Assistant Vice President, Application Developer Consultant, you will be responsible for working with business and IT leads to develop strategic design and code for Payment Initiation functions. You will grow into a role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) for payment initiation and work with scaled agile teams across multiple locations to deliver funded priorities on time. Your responsibilities will include developing and peer reviewing Java code and database stored procedures as necessary, ensuring that the team understands the requirements being sought by collaborating with product owner(s). Additionally, you will build API interfaces for multiple upstream and downstream initiation and consumption applications and integrate with third-party document recognition applications. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience developing web applications in an agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role can be performed in a hybrid model, allowing you to balance work from home and the office to match your needs and role requirements. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in an agile environment are essential, along with expert-level knowledge in Java and SQL, and familiarity with Unix-based operating systems. Prior experience with Payment Initiation/Cash Flow applications, cloud environments, and GWT is also preferred.
