About the position

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python and AWS, with a preference for those with experience in the Payer domain. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and onsite with no travel required. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative projects that drive our company's mission forward.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python and AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new features.
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of applications by leveraging AWS services.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure the robustness of software solutions.
• Monitor application performance and optimize as necessary to meet performance benchmarks.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
• Document software designs, code, and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss project progress and roadblocks.

Requirements

• Possess a strong background in Python programming with hands-on experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in AWS services including but not limited to EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Show experience in the Payer domain is a plus, enhancing the relevance of solutions.
• Have a solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Display strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior developers in their professional growth.
• Show proficiency in automated testing frameworks and practices.
• Exhibit a proactive approach to learning and adopting new technologies.
• Have experience with version control systems like Git.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a hybrid work model, balancing remote and onsite work effectively.
