About the position

The Sr Java Backend Developer position focuses on developing and enhancing the Customer Experience Platform (CXP) for Verizon. The role requires extensive experience in backend development using Java and related technologies, with a strong emphasis on microservices and API development. The position is based in Irving, TX or Basking Ridge, NJ, and requires onsite presence five days a week for a duration of 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for the Customer Experience Platform (CXP).
• Implement REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Utilize Spring Boot and Spring Reactive for application development.
• Work with GraphQL and Redis for data management and retrieval.
• Participate in CI/CD processes to ensure smooth deployment and integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with REST API development and integration.
• Familiarity with Spring Reactive and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Redis for caching and data storage.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Past experience with Verizon's Customer Experience Platform (CXP) is a significant advantage.
