About the position

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team in San Dimas, CA. This long-term contract position requires a strong background in developing high-performance, scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with front-end developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver secure and efficient software solutions, utilizing Agile methodologies where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications using Java and Spring technologies.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and architects to design and implement backend solutions.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of backend systems.
• Participate in Agile/iterative development processes to enhance project delivery.
• Provide technical specifications based on design requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 14 years of experience in software development, with at least 10 years in relevant client experience.
• 5 years of on-site client experience in similar technology and domain.
• Bachelor's degree in technology; Master's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with 9-10 years of experience.
• Experience in REST API development with 9-10 years of experience.
• Familiarity with AWS technologies, specifically SQS, with 6-8 years of experience.
• Experience with MySQL and multithreading, each with 6-8 years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with additional AWS services beyond SQS.
• Knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks.
