About the position

The Sr Java Backend Developer role is a long-term contract position based in Plano, TX, requiring a hybrid work model with two days in the office. The position focuses on developing backend solutions using Java and related technologies, with a strong emphasis on AWS services and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java, J2EE, and related technologies.
• Implement AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and others for cloud-based solutions.
• Design and develop microservices using Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Integrate applications using SOAP/REST web services and other data transfer methods.
• Participate in Agile Scrum methodologies for software development.
• Work in distributed application environments.

Requirements

• 10 years of programming experience with Java, J2EE, XML, and Web Services.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and containerization.
• Experience with microservices architecture and Spring frameworks.
• Proficiency in RESTful web services development.
• Experience with Agile Scrum software development methodology.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Angular 4/5/6/8 development.
