About the position

The Sr Java DevOps Engineer will be part of the Engineering Excellence team at Citi, focusing on enhancing software development practices and tools to foster a culture of excellence in technology. This role aims to drive the adoption of modern software delivery tools and practices, ensuring engineers can fulfill their technical career aspirations while improving productivity through strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the adoption of strategic technical products such as Github Copilot and Github Enterprise.
• Contribute new features to Engineering Excellence in-house tools to drive usage and remove barriers.
• Embed within software teams to drive the adoption of DORA enablers, best practices, and implement CI/CD.

Requirements

• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD including setting up deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of software delivery best practices, Agile methodologies, and DORA metrics.
• Proficient coding in Java.
• Ability to code in Go, Python, .NET is a strong plus.
• Experience with Tekton and Harness is a strong plus.
• Experience building Lightspeed (internal tool) pipelines is a strong plus.
• Certifications in DevOps or related fields are a plus.
• Experience driving collaborative work in a geographically distributed environment.
