We are seeking a Sr. Java Software Developer with strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a complex program that provides Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems. This role is based in a DevOps framework, where you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle. This includes scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing. In this position, you will engage in software programming initiatives aimed at supporting innovation and enhancement, utilizing technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate, and Angular. You will be responsible for developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using tools like Junit and Katalon. Additionally, you will develop and integrate custom software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies and prototype solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions, utilizing Infrastructure platform services. Collaboration is key in this role; you will coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases. You will analyze infrastructure needs driven by developed software through proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing to meet customer mission needs. Supporting the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices is also a critical aspect of this position. You will utilize industry-leading DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting, and document and perform systems software development, including the deployment of build artifacts across different environments leveraging GitFlow constructs. Effective communication of key project data to team members will be essential to build team cohesion and effectiveness. You will also leverage the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA and Confluence, to track activities and apply best practices and standard operating procedures to create innovative solutions that meet the technical needs of customers.
