About the position

The Sr. Network Engineer position at Interactive Brokers LLC involves developing, implementing, and managing global network infrastructure. The role requires troubleshooting and diagnosing outages and issues while managing the full technology lifecycle, including design, implementation, commissioning, and monitoring of network systems. This position mandates in-office work three days a week in Greenwich, CT, with the option for remote work two days a week.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or related position.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or related field and 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or related position.
• 3 years of experience with converged infrastructure, switching/routing in large complex networks.
• Experience with network security methods and architecture.
• Proficiency with Cisco and Arista routers, switches, Palo Alto security products, and F5 BIG-IP application delivery controller.
• Experience in network design and implementation, including STP, VTP, Virtual LANs, and trunking.
• Knowledge of network security (ACLs, IPSec Tunnels), firewalls, Netflow, IPSLA, VPN, DHCP, DNS, IP schema, subnetting, WAN routing, WAN/LAN, and traffic shaping/QoS, EIGRP/BGP.
• Scripting to automate configuration tasks using Python.
