About the position

The Sr. Java Developer at Infosys will be responsible for translating software requirements into functional and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks. This role involves applying technical expertise throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, collaborating with team members to prioritize tasks, and ensuring adherence to best practices for scalable application development.

Responsibilities

• Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions.
• Apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Capture accurate requirements and work closely with team members to prioritize tasks.
• Identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
• Contribute towards developing and adhering to best practices for scalable application development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Boot.
• Ability to connect with business teams and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Effective communication skills with multiple collaborators such as DBA, Infrastructure team, Network team, Business, and Architecture group.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with application development and support.
• Sound knowledge of SQL, Advanced SQL, Stored Procedures, and Database design.
• Basic knowledge of Design patterns.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes and technologies (Jenkins, Cloudbee, Terraform, etc.).
• Ability to work in a diverse team/multiple team member environment.
• Exposure to Agile methodology of project execution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
