About the position

The Sr. Java Developer at Comcast is responsible for planning, designing, and developing new software and web applications. This role involves analyzing and testing applications, overseeing documentation, and training non-technical personnel. The developer will collaborate with project stakeholders to identify requirements, provide technical leadership, and ensure timely delivery of software solutions. This position is crucial in a complex environment and may involve leading teams or projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design new software and web applications.
• Analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications.
• Oversee the documentation of all development activity.
• Train non-technical personnel on software applications.
• Assist with tracking performance metrics and ensure timely delivery of software.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
• Design and customize current applications, and develop software update processes.
• Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the design process.
• Assist in tracking and evaluating performance metrics.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of Java development experience using various Java technology stack and frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot.
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud technologies, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda).
• 5+ years of experience with web application development and JavaScript.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS RDS and Linux-based operating systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
