About the position

The Sr. Java Engineer position is focused on developing mission-critical, large-scale enterprise applications within the authentication ramp, specifically for payment-related projects. The role requires a mid to senior level candidate with extensive experience in Java development and related technologies, working in a hybrid environment with three days on-site and two days remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop mission-critical, large-scale, high-volume enterprise applications using Java/J2EE.
• Design and implement RESTful services using the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Work with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and NoSQL technologies like Cassandra.
• Utilize Apache Kafka for online data publishing and consuming.
• Create and maintain Junit test cases, conduct performance testing, and perform code analysis.
• Collaborate with distributed development teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Adapt to a constantly changing environment to meet release deliverables.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming skills in Java.
• Experience with J2EE application servers and RESTful services development.
• Proficiency in using the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and SOAP Webservices.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies and SDLC.
• Knowledge of test-driven development practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with performance testing and optimization.
• Familiarity with Splunk and SOAP UI.
