About the position

The Sr. Java Full Stack Developer with AWS is a critical role focused on developing and implementing software solutions in the banking domain. This position requires expertise in Java technologies and AWS services, with a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies and full software development lifecycle. The developer will work directly with a top client in Virginia, contributing to various projects that require both backend and frontend development skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software solutions using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from inception through implementation.
• Utilize AWS services to implement Java applications, including Lambda, RDS, SQS, SNS, and more.
• Design and develop APIs and services using the Java Spring framework.
• Troubleshoot issues in live production environments and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication of technical concepts.
• Implement security and monitoring best practices for AWS serverless components.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, and S3.
• Familiarity with web service technologies including SOAP and REST.
• Experience with application development using Java Design Patterns and JUnit.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design methodologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Apache Camel and encryption frameworks like JWT and KMS.
• Knowledge of Snowflake and streaming data platforms such as Kafka.
• Proficiency in using Git branching frameworks and SAST/DAST tools.
• Experience with Karate Framework for API testing.
