About the position
The Sr. Java Full Stack Developer with AWS is responsible for modernizing critical systems within a hybrid work environment. This role requires expertise in Java and related technologies, along with strong leadership skills to guide and mentor team members. The position is contract-based, lasting between 6 to 12 months, and involves both onsite and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration.
- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Leverage AWS services to enhance application performance and scalability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize existing systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular (Version 15+).
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- AWS certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae systems, and CapitalOne or BOA is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
