About the position

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join their team in Wilmington, DE. This full-time position involves developing microservices and APIs using Java and AWS Cloud, working collaboratively in an Agile environment, and contributing to the end-to-end development of applications. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and open communication within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Develop Microservices with Spring Boot for the Java based application
• Develop API using Microservices Architecture in AWS Cloud platform
• Work with Business and Product Teams to gather requirements and translate to Design and Code
• Work in Agile environment with regular Sprints
• Provide POC/Demo to Business Teams at the end of each Sprint

Requirements

• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages; Core Java
• Java development experience with knowledge of Java 1.7 and 1.8 features
• Develop, Deploy and scale applications in AWS Cloud Platform
• Spring Framework
• RESTful micro services
• Oracle PL/SQL DB knowledge is required
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
