About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Java Fullstack Developer with a strong background in both development and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of total experience in software development, with at least 3 years specifically focused on DevOps methodologies. This position is based in Washington, DC and requires onsite presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing AWS cloud-based Lambda functions using Javascript and Node.js, as well as integrating REST APIs. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in AWS services and DevOps CI/CD pipelines, utilizing Cloud Formation Templates (CFT) to build and manage deployment pipelines. You will also be tasked with performing operating system upgrades, AMI upgrades, and ensuring the smooth operation of the development environment. A solid understanding of GIT source code control workflows and Bitbucket Pipeline management is essential for this position. Additionally, familiarity with AWS services such as Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, WAF, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, AWS Parameter Store, and AWS API Gateway infrastructure will be crucial for your success. Candidates with AWS certification will be given preference, and knowledge of knex (a database software package) will be considered a plus. Experience with serverless configurations, REST API endpoints, API keys, SQLs, joins, indexes, partitioning concepts, and PL/SQL based stored procedures will also be beneficial. Experience with Informatics (Powercenter or IICS) and programming in Node.js or Python will further enhance your candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Experience with AWS services and DevOps CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Formation Templates (CFT).
• Knowledge of GIT source code control workflow and Bitbucket Pipeline management.

Nice-to-haves
