About the position

The Sr. Java/Spring Boot Developer will be responsible for developing Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, with a strong emphasis on Kafka and MongoDB. The role requires participation in various project phases, including requirement gathering, analysis, design, unit testing, and test support, particularly within the banking and financial sector. The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile environment and will be required to work from the client office at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Work from client office for at least 3 days a week.
• Develop Java 17 applications, including writing Web APIs and backend logic (batch jobs/Kafka processors).
• Utilize Non-Relational databases like MongoDB.
• Implement and adopt CI/CD DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy/Harness.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with Java 8, JUNIT, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Web Services (SOAP & REST).
• Contribute as an individual contributor in microservice applications.
• Analyze and debug applications effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Spring Boot Java microservice software developer.
• Hands-on knowledge of Kafka and MongoDB is essential.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Jira and Scrum, is mandatory.
• Basic experience in the banking and financial domain is required.
• Experience in various project execution phases such as requirement gathering, analysis, design, unit testing, and test support.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Angular or ReactJS is a plus.
