About the position

The Sr. Key Account Manager plays a crucial role in managing key accounts for the LEGO Group in the US, focusing on achieving strategic, financial, and operational goals with retail partners. This position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and financial skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic retail environment. The role encompasses various responsibilities across business functions, emphasizing results orientation and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic framework of customer business plans through Joint Business Planning.
  • Manage financial oversight, including retailer P&L and team budgets, investment strategies, and claims analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal and retailer teams for effective Space Management and execution of POG/space transitions.
  • Lead Customer Demand Planning processes to align sales plans between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee Inventory Planning & Management to ensure performance related to inventory management and communication flow.
  • Foster a positive team environment and contribute to team dynamics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods or fast-moving goods.
  • Demonstrated account management skills with an insights-based approach to selling.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, planning, collaborative inventory management, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate activities across multiple functions.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and results-driven with critical thinking skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience working with large US retailers, particularly in fast-moving consumer goods.
